The Most Important Question

You Can Ever Be Asked

What is required of us to receive God's forgiveness?

Admit you’re a sinner, that you need Jesus in your life.  It's not about being a good moral person.  It's about falling short of God's righteousness.  Mankind has always chosen to do its own thing, but through Jesus, God offers us a way to Himself (Romans 3:23, 5:8, 6:23).
Believe that Jesus is Lord and accept God’s forgiveness from sin.  Place your trust in Jesus and Him alone by accepting what He did for you through His life, death on the cross, and resurrection from the dead (Acts 16:3, Acts 4:12).
Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.  Tell that to God. And, if you’re trusting in Jesus, and Him alone, as your Savior, this means He is now in charge of your life.  He will show you how He wants you to live by learning about Him in the Bible (Romans 10:9-10:13).

If you believe that God is leading you to place your trust in Jesus for salvation, then pray along these lines (The exact words aren't vital...the attitude of your heart is!):  "Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and that I do not deserve eternal life.  But, I believe you died and rose from the grave to secure a place in Heaven for me.  Jesus come into my life, take control of my life, forgive my sins and save me.  I am now placing my trust in you alone for my salvation and I accept your free gift of eternal life.”
